Daftar Artis Korea dan Kpop Idol yang Meninggal Bunuh Diri 

Masalah penyakit mental bukan lelucon. Siapa saja bisa memiliki penyakit mental, bahkan bintang Korea Selatan yang tampaknya memiliki segalanya. 

Fenomena artis meninggal di usia muda karena bunuh diri bukanlah hal baru di industri hiburan Korea.

Tesis pada 2009 yang disusun oleh aktris Korea Park Jin Hee menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 40% aktor Korea berpikir untuk mati karena hidup mereka terlalu melelahkan.

Kenapa banyak artis Korea bunuh diri, alasannya termasuk:

• Privasi yang tidak terlindungi, 
• Komentar dan kritik jahat, 
• Pendapatan yang tidak stabil, 
• Kecemasan tentang masa depan,
• Kebencian dari publik (online bullying), 
• Beban, tekanan hidup, dan ancaman lainnya. 

Berikut ini beberapa daftar artis Korea bunuh diri karena masalah kesehatan mental: 

1. Lee Eun Joo (1980 – 2005)

Lee Eun-joo ditemukan tewas di apartemennya di Bundang, Seongnam pada malam 22 Februari 2005. Usianya baru 25 tahun saat itu. 

Dia telah menggorok pergelangan tangannya dan kemudian gantung diri. Lee Eun-joo juga meninggalkan beberapa catatan bunuh diri yang ditulis dengan darah.

Lee Eun Joo berjuang melawan depresi. Keterangan dari keluarganya, Lee Eun Joo diduga mulai menderita penyakit mental setelah mengambil peran adegan vulgar di film The Scarlet Letter (2004).

Lee Eun Joo pernah bermain dalam box office seperti Taegukgi dan The Scarlet Letter–dianggap sebagai salah satu bintang yang sedang bersinar saat itu.

2. U;Nee (1981 – 2007)

Lee Hye Ryeon memiliki nama panggung U;Nee adalah seorang penyanyi, rapper, penari, dan aktris Korea Selatan. 

U;Nee (25 tahun) ditemukan meninggal di rumahnya di Seo-gu, Incheon, Korea Selatan pada 21 Januari 2007 setelah gantung diri di kamarnya setinggi 2 meter dari kusen pintu.

Lee Hye Ryeon dinilai memiliki masa kecil yang sulit. Ayahnya meninggal ketika dia masih kecil dan dia dilahirkan dari seorang ibu yang tidak menikah.

Manajemen U;Nee menyatakan bahwa mereka rencananya merilis album ke-3 pada 1 Februari 2007. 

U;Nee memulai debutnya di drama KBS Grown-ups Just Don’t Understanding pada tahun 1996 dan mendapatkan popularitas besar setelah merilis album keduanya berjudul ‘Call Call Call’.

3. Jeong Da Bin (1980 – 2007)

Aktris Korea Selatan Jeong Da Bin ditemukan gantung diri di kamar mandi rumah pacarnya di Seoul pada 10 Februari 2007 sekitar pukul 07:50. 

Jeong Da Bin diduga bunuh diri karena mengalami depresi akibat karirnya yang menurun dan mendapat banyak serangan online karena penampilan fisiknya.

Sehari sebelum dia bunuh diri, Jeong menulis komentar di blog Cyworld-nya tentang kehilangan identitasnya dan sekarat. Ini membuat banyak orang percaya bahwa dia mengalami depresi.

Jung Da Bin memulai debutnya dengan film ‘Gingko Bed 2,‘ dan menjadi bintang melalui sitkom hit ‘New Nonstop.’ Dia juga membintangi drama hit ‘Rooftop Room Cat,’ dan film ‘He Was Cool.’

4. Choi Jin Sil (1968 – 2008)

Berita artis Korea bunuh diri lainnya adalah Choi Jin Sil. Choi Jin Sil (39 tahun) ditemukan meninggal dunia karena gantung diri di rumahnya di Seoul pada 2 Oktober 2008.

Choi Jin Sil menderita depresi pascaperceraian dan serangan ujaran kebencian (online gossip) yang tak henti-hentinya. 

Dia pernah dijuluki sebagai “The Nation’s Actress” karena popularitasnya di banyak film dan drama Korea Selatan.

5. Ahn Jae Hwan (1972 – 2008)

Aktor Korea Selatan Ahn Jae-hwan (36 tahun) ditemukan meninggal dunia pada pagi hari tanggal 8 September 2008 di mobilnya yang terparkir di Hagye, Seoul utara. 

Menurut laporan, tidak ditemukan tanda-tanda tersedak atau obat-obatan. 

Abu briket ditemukan di dalam mobilnya dalam kemungkinan bunuh diri menggunakan asap beracun. 

Ahn Jae-hwan meninggal karena asphyxiation, yaitu kondisi di mana tubuh tidak mendapatkan cukup oksigen.

6. Kim Ji Hoo (1985-2008)

Aktor Kim Ji-Hoo (23 tahun) ditemukan meninggal di rumahnya di Jamsil, Seoul selatan pada 6 Oktober 2008.

Kim Ji-Hoo bunuh diri dengan cara gantung diri. 

Polisi menemukan catatan bunuh diri di tempat kejadian, “Saya kesepian dan dalam situasi yang sulit. Tolong kremasi tubuhku.”

Polisi mengatakan bahwa penyebab bunuh diri itu akibat prasangka publik terhadap kaum gay dan kesulitan mereka dalam berhasil di industri hiburan Korea Selatan.

Sebelumnya, Kim Ji-Hoo secara terbuka mengakui bahwa dirinya seorang gay. 

7. Daul Kim (1989 – 2009)

Model 20 tahun Daul Kim ditemukan tewas gantung diri di apartemennya di Paris pagi 19 November 2009. 

Kim juga meninggalkan catatan bunuh diri di tempat kejadian, yang menyiratkan bahwa dia tampaknya kesepian, insomnia, depresi, dan merasa tidak dapat memenuhi tuntutan di industri mode.

Sepanjang karirnya Daul Kim pernah muncul di majalah British Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar Korea Selatan, dan serial Korea Selatan I am a Model.

8. Jang Ja Yeon (1980 – 2009)

Jang Ja Yeon (29 tahun) ditemukan meninggal gantung diri di rumahnya di Seongnam oleh kakak perempuannya. 

Pemeran drama Boys Over Flowers ini mengalami depresi dan masalah kesehatan mental lainnya. 

Berdasarkan catatan bunuh dirinya, Jang Ja Yeon menulis bahwa dia dilecehkan secara seksual oleh 31 nama terkenal di industri hiburan Korea Selatan. 

Jang Ja Yeon juga menulis bahwa Kim Sung Hoon telah memukulinya dan memaksanya untuk berhubungan seks dengan sejumlah CEO dan eksekutif media. 

Kasus kematian Jang Ja Yeon tampaknya masih menjadi misteri gelap industri hiburan Korea Selatan dan semoga cepat terbongkar. 

9. Woo Seung Yoon (1983 – 2009)

Woo Seung-yeon adalah salah satu aktris/model pendatang baru saat itu yang memulai debutnya pada tahun 2007.

Dia memulai karirnya sebagai model majalah mode. Sayangnya, Woo (28 tahun) ditemukan gantung diri di rumahnya di Jamsil-dong, Seoul, dalam kasus bunuh diri pada 28 April 2009. 

Woo Seung-yeon meninggalkan pesan untuk saudara perempuannya melalui pesan teks, mengatakan, “Maaf,” dan dia juga meninggalkan pesan di buku hariannya sendiri yang menyatakan, “Saya mencintai keluarga saya, saya sangat menyesal untuk pergi lebih awal.”

10. Park Yong Ha (1977 – 2010)

Aktor dan penyanyi terkenal Korea Selatan Park Yong Ha (33 tahun) ditemukan tewas di rumahnya setelah diduga bunuh diri dengan cara gantung diri dengan kabel listrik pada 30 Juni 2010. 

Polisi mengatakan Park Yong Ha berada di bawah tekanan saat mencoba mengelola perusahaan hiburan dan kariernya saat ayahnya sedang berjuang melawan kanker.

11. Chae Dong Ha (1981-2011)

Chae Dong-ha termasuk dalam daftar Kpop idol bunuh diri.

Chae Dong-ha memutuskan untuk solo karir setelah 3 tahun bersama trio SG Wannabe. Pada tahun 2009, manajer kesayangan Chae Dong-ha meninggal dan dia menjadi sangat tertekan. 

Chae Dong-ha memutuskan untuk bunuh diri dengan cara gantung diri di rumahnya pada 27 Mei 2011. 

12. Song Ji Seon (1981-2011)

Bukan cuma selebriti atau Kpop idol bunuh diri, tapi dari kalangan presenter olahraga juga. 

Song Ji-seon, seorang penyiar MBC wanita ditemukan tewas pada hari Senin 23 Mei 2011 setelah melompat dari apartemennya di lantai 19 di Seocho-dong, Seoul selatan.

Sebelumnya pada 7 Mei 2011, Song Ji Seon menyiratkan niatnya untuk bunuh diri melalui tulisannya di Twitter. Petugas polisi dan 119 pekerja darurat pun bergegas ke kediamannya untuk mengecek. 

Dalam tweet selanjutnya, Song Ji Seon membantah menulis posting pertama, meskipun sempat mengakui bahwa dia berpikir untuk bunuh diri karena masalah pribadi.

Saat itu Song Ji Seon terjerat dalam skandal cinta dengan pemain bisbol profesional–di mana dia diskors sementara dari peran penyiar pada program bisbol harian di MBC Sports Plus. 

13. Lee Ui Soo (1995-2017)

Lee Ui Soo adalah seorang model di bawah sub-label model SM Entertainment, Esteem Entertainment. Ui-soo juga diketahui bersahabat baik dengan V BTS. 

Lee Ui Soo memutuskan untuk bunuh diri pada 6 Oktober 2017.

Lee Ui-soo muncul di banyak majalah fashion, seperti ARENA HOMME+, W Korea, Ledebut Korea, Hiphopper, Marie Claire, dan banyak lagi. Dia juga muncul di acara TV OnStyle Devil Runway dan Onstyle Charming TV.

14. Kim Jonghyun SHINee (1990 – 2017)

Kabar Kpop idol bunuh diri Jonghyun SHINee sangat mengejutkan dan meninggalkan kesedihan di para fans hingga sekarang. 

Kim Jonghyun memulai debutnya sebagai penyanyi utama boyband Korea SHINee pada tahun 2009. SHINee pun meraih kesuksesan besar. 

Penyanyi berusia 27 tahun itu ditemukan tidak sadarkan diri di sebuah hotel pribadi di Seoul pada 18 Desember 2017. Jonghyun SHINee bunuh diri dengan keracunan karbon monoksida.

Catatan terakhir dari Jonghyun berisi, “Saya hancur dari dalam. Depresi yang perlahan memakanku akhirnya melahapku dan aku tidak bisa mengalahkannya”.

15. Jeon Tae Soo (1984 – 2018)

Jeon Tae Soo adalah aktor Korea Selatan, yang sangat dikenal karena aktingnya di drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal pada 2010.

Sebelumnya Jeon Tae Soo mengambil cuti karirnya untuk menerima perawatan untuk depresi yang dia rasakan selama sekitar 7 tahun. 

Namun, adik dari aktris Ha Ji Won ini memutuskan untuk bunuh diri pada 21 Januari 2018.

Jun Tae Soo menghadapi tekanan besar dari publik setelah skandal bahwa ia menyerang seorang sopir taksi dan dua petugas polisi karena situasi mabuk pada tahun 2011.

16. Jeon Mi Seon (1970 – 2019)

Jeon Mi Seon adalah seorang aktris Korea Selatan yang memenangkan banyak penghargaan di industri hiburan Korea.

Jeon Mi Seon ditemukan tewas dalam kemungkinan bunuh diri. 

Agensi Jeon Mi Seon mengkonfirmasi bahwa aktris tersebut telah menderita depresi.

17. Choi Jin-ri atau Sulli (1994 – 2019)

Choi Jin-ri atau dikenal dengan nama panggung Sulli adalah mantan anggota girl group f(x). Dia keluar pada tahun 2015 untuk fokus pada karir aktingnya. 

Sulli menghadapi cyberbullying atau kritik online dan pengawasan terus-menerus dari netizen Korea Selatan. Ini juga alasan kebanyakan kasus kenapa artis Korea bunuh diri. 

Choi Sulli (25 tahun) ditemukan tewas di rumahnya pada 14 Oktober 2019 karena bunuh diri.

Sehari sebelum kematiannya yang tiba-tiba, Sulli terlihat syuting untuk sebuah film iklan dan tidak menunjukkan bahwa dia depresi atau tertekan.

Sebelumnya pada tahun 2018, Sulli membuka tentang perjuangannya dengan fobia sosial dan gangguan panik dalam reality show Jinri Store.

18. Goo Hara (1991 – 2019)

Goo Hara (28 tahun) ditemukan tewas di rumahnya (24 November 2019) hanya enam minggu setelah Sulli bunuh diri. Sulli, Goo Hara, dan IU bersahabat. 

Sebelumnya, Goo Hara mengunggah kata ‘Selamat tinggal’ di Instagram-nya.

Goo pernah mengatakan, “Penghibur publik seperti saya tidak mudah — kami memiliki kehidupan pribadi kami yang lebih diteliti daripada orang lain dan kami menderita jenis rasa sakit. Kami bahkan tidak bisa berdiskusi dengan keluarga dan teman-teman kami.” 

Goo Hara pernah melakukan percobaan diri sebelumnya dan selamat. 

Pada tahun 2018, Goo mengatakan kepada media lokal bahwa mantannya Choi Jong Bum mengancam “untuk mengakhiri karir entertainment” dengan membocorkan video seks mereka.

Akibatnya, Goo Hara diserang ujaran kebencian hingga merasa depresi. 

Pemerasannya atas rekaman itu telah “sangat merusak” reputasi mendiang bintang itu, katanya, dan telah meninggalkannya dengan “trauma yang tidak dapat diubah”.

19. Cha In-ha (1992 – 2019)

Aktor Cha In-ha ditemukan tewas di rumahnya di Seoul pada December 3, 2019. Ini hanya beberapa hari setelah kepergian Goo Hara. 

Penyebab kematian Cha In-ha tidak pernah diungkapkan dan tidak ada laporan tentang dia yang menjadi sasaran intimidasi online dalam skala yang harus ditanggung seperti oleh bintang Korea Selatan lain. 

20. Park Ji Sun (1984 – 2020)

Park Ji-sun dan ibunya ditemukan tewas di kediamannya pada 2 November 2020.

Ayah Park Ji Sun menelepon polisi setelah gagal menghubungi istri dan putrinya. Ketika polisi tiba di rumah mereka, Park Ji Sun dan ibunya ditemukan sudah meninggal.

Park Ji Sun adalah seorang komedian yang memulai debutnya pada tahun 2007 di bawah KBS. Dia muncul di berbagai acara dan menjadi pembawa acara beberapa acara seperti konferensi pers dan pertunjukan.

21. Song Yoo-jung (1994 – 2021)

Aktris Korea Selatan Song Yoo-jung meninggal pada 23 Januari di usia 26 tahun 

Jika kematian Song kemudian terungkap sebagai kasus bunuh diri, dia akan bergabung dengan daftar panjang dan menyedihkan tokoh hiburan muda yang telah mengambil nyawa mereka sendiri dalam beberapa tahun terakhir di industri budaya tekanan tinggi Korea, termasuk bintang K-pop Sulli dan Goo Hara.

22. Yoo Ju-eun (1995 – 2022) 

Aktris Korea Selatan Yoo Ju-eun telah meninggal dunia 29 Agustus 2022 pada usia 27, menurut media Korea Selatan. 

Dia adalah model untuk kosmetik Estee Lauder, The Body Shop, dan juru bicara es krim Baskin Robbins.

Catatan yang ditinggalkan Yoo terungkap setelah kematiannya yang terlalu dini dan berusaha untuk mengungkapkan gejolak batin dan rasa sakit yang dia derita.

Yoo Joo Eun telah menulis surat terakhirnya. Dia meminta maaf kepada keluarga yang ditinggalkannya.

“Pikiran saya berteriak bahwa ini tidak ingin hidup lagi. Meskipun hidup tanpaku mungkin kosong, hiduplah dengan berani. Aku akan mengawasi semuanya. Jangan menangis. Itu tidak sehat,” tulisnya.

“Aku sama sekali tidak sedih sekarang. Aku merasa tegas dan tenang,” lanjut surat itu. “Aku pikir itu karena saya sudah memikirkan ini untuk sementara waktu sekarang. Aku telah menjalani kehidupan yang sangat bahagia yang lebih dari yang pantas saya dapatkan. Jadi itu sudah cukup bagi saya. Ini cukup. Jadi tolong hiduplah tanpa menyalahkan siapa pun.”

Pada Januari 2020, Chen mengumumkan bahwa dia sudah punya pacar dan akan segera menikah. Chen menjelaskan bahwa dia sudah pacaran cukup lama hingga memutuskan rencana pernikahannya. 

Dia ingin membuat pengumuman lebih awal tapi tunangannya saat itu sudah hamil. 

Chen adalah artis korea menikah dengan orang biasa. Beberapa waktu lalu diberitakan bahwa Chen merayakan ulang tahun pertama anak mereka dalam sebuah acara pribadi.

2. Rain dan Kim Tae Hee

Jeong Ji Hoon (Rain) dan Kim Tae Hee terlah membangung rumah tangga sejak tahun 2017. Sebelum menikah, mereka sudah menjalin hubungan selama 5 tahun. 

Mereka sudah memiliki anak perempuan yang sengaja tidak diekspos. 

Namun, rumah tangga mereka ditempa kabar perceraian di awal tahun 2022. 

3. Changmin TVXQ 

Pada Juni 2020, Changmin dari duo K-pop TVXQ mengumumkan rencananya untuk menikah dengan wanita yang bukan selebriti. 

Changmin membagikan sebuah surat pada fans yang berisi ungkapannya tentang rencana pernikahannya itu. 

SM Entertainment pun merilis pernyataan terhadap berita tersebut dan meminta semua fans untuk menghormati privasinya dan tidak mengganggu pasangan tersebut. 

4. Hyerim Wonder Girls 

Wonder Girls adalah girlband Korea generasi pertama. 

Hyerim salah satu mantan member Wonder Girls mengumumkan bahwa dia telah menikah pada 5 Juli 2020 dengan Shin Min Chul, seorang atlet taekwondo. 

Acara pernikahan itu dilaksanakan di Distrik Gangnam Seoul. Sebelumnya mereka telah berpacaran selama sekitar 7 tahun.

5. Lee Hyori dan Lee Sang Soon

Daftar Kpop idol yang sudah menikah selanjutnya adalah artis solo K-pop Lee Hyori dengan sesama musisi Lee Sangsoon seorang gitaris untuk Roller Coaster.

Mereka meresmikan hubungan pada tahun 2013. Hyori menggambarkan Lee Sangsoon sebagai “suami yang protektif dan berdedikasi.

Awalnya, mereka bertemu saat berkolaborasi dalam lagu khusus yang dibuat untuk mendukung shelters hewan.

6. Eli (U-KISS) dan Ji Yeon Soo

Hoon U-KISS dan mantan anggota Girl’s Day Hwang Ji Seon menikah. 

Pada 6 Mei, agensi Hoon Tango Music mengumumkan berita tentang rencana pernikahan mereka. Hoon Hwang Ji Seon resmi menikah pada 29 Mei.

8. Dongho (mantan member U-KISS)

Mantan anggota boyband U-KISS lainnya yang sudah menikah adalah Dongho dengan Kim Seehee pada tahun 2015.

Dia juga sudah punya anak pada tahun 2016. Sayangnya, mereka bercerai pada 2018. 

9. Kahi Mantan Anggota After School member

Kahi menikah dengan Yang Joon Mo, CEO dari sebuah brand Korea. Mereka menikah pada 2016 di Hawaii.

#1. Janji Joni (2005)

Film yang dirilis tahun 2005 silam ini, mengisahkan seorang cowok bernama Joni (Nicholas Saputra), yang bekerja menjadi kurir roll film. Selama kariernya sebagai kurir Joni selalu tepat waktu.

Hingga satu hari ia bertemu seorang perempuan yang hanya akan memberitahukan namanya jika pada hari itu Joni berhasil mengantar roll film dengan tepat waktu.

Kehidupan Gambir yang tampak teratur dan sempurna, nyatanya menyembunyikan sisi gelap di baliknya. 

Salah satunya adalah menyembunyikan janin hasil aborsi yang dibelinya, di dalam patung ciptaannya. Janin-janin yang mati itu seolah memberi nyawa pada patung-patung Gambir.

 Kisah film Joko Anwar yang satu ini jadi semakin dark, ketika Gambir diganggu sosok anak kecil yang kerap meminta pertolongan darinya.

 Film ini ditutup dengan adegan gore yang cukup mengganggu dan bisa bikin isi perut bergerak naik.

#4. Modus Anomali (2012)

Kisah bergulir dengan John Evans (Rio Dewanto) terbangun dengan sebilah pisau di tangannya.
